Custom domain

Serve your Wall of Love from an address you own.

Use a subdomain such as praise.yourbrand.com. A bare domain like yourbrand.com cannot be pointed with a CNAME record, so it is refused.

Enter the domain

Under Settings, Wall of Love, Custom domain. You are shown two DNS records.

Add the records at your DNS provider

A TXT record that proves you control the domain, and a CNAME that points it at KikoPraise.

Press Check

DNS changes can take a few minutes. Once the CNAME reaches KikoPraise, the https certificate for your domain is issued automatically. The check reports which stage is failing.

The two stages

  • Ownership: the TXT record is missing or wrong.
  • Routing: the TXT record is fine, but the domain does not yet reach KikoPraise over https. Usually the CNAME is missing or still spreading, or the certificate is still being issued. Give it a few minutes and press Check again.

They are reported separately so you know which record to look at. The ownership step exists so nobody can claim a name that someone else has already pointed at KikoPraise.

A domain can serve only one workspace. Changing the domain means proving it again. Your wall stays available at its normal kikopraise.com address the whole time.
