Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about collecting testimonials, approving them and showing them on your website with KikoPraise.
Getting started
What is KikoPraise?
Testimonial software for small teams. It collects text and video testimonials from a form link, an email request or a message in WhatsApp, holds them until you approve them, and shows them on your website with an embeddable widget or a Wall of Love page.
How much does KikoPraise cost?
You can sign up and start collecting for free, with no card. Paid plans have not been published yet.
How long does it take to set up?
About five minutes to your first approved story on a page. Create a form, send yourself the link, approve the reply and publish a widget. Your first five minutes walks through it.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Embedding a widget means pasting two lines of HTML into your page or your site builder's embed block. The API and webhooks are there if you do want to write code.
Collecting testimonials
What is the easiest way to collect customer testimonials?
Ask right after a good moment, in the app your customer already uses, with one link. KikoPraise gives you a form link to share anywhere and personal request links that show whether each person opened and replied.
Can I ask for testimonials by email?
Yes. Use Request testimonial to email one person, or paste a list of up to 25 names and emails. Each person gets their own tracked link. See Ask by email.
How do I collect testimonials on WhatsApp?
Create a request with a link only, then paste the link into the WhatsApp chat with a short personal message. The request shows Opened when they tap it and Completed when they reply. KikoPraise never connects to your WhatsApp account.
Can I collect video testimonials?
Yes. A form can ask for text, video or both. Customers record in their browser on a phone or laptop, with no app and no account. Keep clips short: recordings are served as uploaded and are not re-encoded yet.
Can I import testimonials I already have?
Yes. Upload a CSV of up to 500 rows at a time, paste the link to a review or post, or add one by hand. See Add and import praise.
Can I save testimonials from X or other websites?
Yes, with the browser extension. On X a post's menu gains Add to KikoPraise, and on any other page you can screenshot the praise. The extension is built for Chrome and is not on the Chrome Web Store yet.
Will customers be asked more than once?
No. Someone already asked about the same form in the last 7 days is skipped, and so is someone who replied in the last 30 days.
What happens with unhappy customers?
A form can include a step for unhappy customers, so private feedback reaches you instead of becoming public praise.
Approving and editing
Can a testimonial go live without my approval?
No. Everything arrives as Pending and stays private until you approve it. The one exception is auto-approve, a switch on each form that is off by default.
Can I edit a testimonial before publishing it?
Yes. Fix a typo, trim a long answer or correct a job title, and keep the meaning. Praise saved from a public post keeps its link back to the original.
Can I organise testimonials by client or product?
Yes. Put praise into groups. A widget can show only certain groups, and each group has its own filtered Wall of Love link.
Showing testimonials on your website
How do I embed testimonials on my website?
Create a widget, choose a layout and which stories it shows, press publish and paste the snippet into your page. Approved stories appear on their own after that. See Embed on your site.
Which widget layouts are there?
Seven: grid, masonry, marquee, spotlight, rating badge, video wall and a pop-up toast. See Widgets.
Does the widget work with WordPress, Webflow, Wix or Squarespace?
It works anywhere a page accepts an HTML snippet, and there is an iframe version for places that strip scripts. It renders in its own frame, so your site's styles cannot break it. It has not been tested inside every website builder yet.
What is a Wall of Love?
One public page with all your approved testimonials, your logo and colour, filters for your groups and an optional button for visitors to leave their own. See Wall of Love.
Can I put my Wall of Love on my own domain?
Yes, on a subdomain you own, such as praise.yourbrand.com. See Custom domain.
Can I share a single testimonial?
Yes. Every approved story has its own page with a preview image for links, and its own embed. See Share a single story.

Is there an API?
Yes, a REST API with workspace keys. Create requests when a ticket closes or an order ships, and read approved testimonials. See REST API.
