Save testimonials from anywhere on the web
On X, a post's menu gains “Add to KikoPraise”. Everywhere else, drag a box around the praise and save a screenshot. It all lands in your review queue.
Not on the Chrome Web Store yet. It can be loaded unpacked today.
Switched our onboarding emails to ask for a testimonial on day 14. Got 9 replies in a week. Honestly didn't expect people to just… say nice things.
Three ways in, one review queue
- 1
On X, use the post menu
Open a post's “…” menu and choose Add to KikoPraise. The author, handle, avatar, text, first image and link are read from the page for you.
- 2
Anywhere, take a screenshot
Right-click and choose Save a screenshot to KikoPraise, then drag to select. The toolbar hides itself so it never lands in the shot.
- 3
Or add from this page
The popup's Add from this page works on any site. The fields start blank for you to fill in.
Built so it can't publish by accident
Everything saves as Pending
This is someone else's words, so it never reaches a public widget without your review. The server enforces it, not just the interface.
Signs in the way Chrome intends
You connect once through a sign-in window and the extension holds a revocable token. It does not read your browsing cookies.
Images are kept for you
Avatars and post images are copied into your storage, because platform image links expire and some block hotlinking.
Honest about its limits
Automatic reading works on X today. On other sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, Trustpilot, Google and more) the source is detected but the fields start blank. Reddit's menu isn't supported. Posts X collapses behind “Show more” are flagged, not saved as a fragment.
Questions about this
How do I turn a tweet into a testimonial?
With the extension installed, open the post's menu on X and choose Add to KikoPraise. The author, handle, avatar, text and link are saved as a Pending testimonial for you to approve.
Is it on the Chrome Web Store?
Not yet. It is built for Chrome (Manifest V3) and can be loaded unpacked from the project's extension folder. A store listing is still to do.
Does it use AI to read posts?
No. On X it reads the author, handle, avatar, text, first image and permalink from the page that is already open. There is no AI, no platform API and no scraping service. If X changes its markup, a field is left blank for you to fill rather than the save failing.
Can saved praise go live without me?
No. Everything the extension saves is Pending. You approve it in the dashboard first.
Which browsers does it work in?
It is built for Chrome (Manifest V3). Other browsers are untested.
Can I disconnect it?
Yes. The extension holds a revocable connection token rather than your password or cookies. If the token stops working, it asks you to connect again.
